Required Documents - Official Identification Document

The following valid identification documents should be attached with the accredited forms (as the case requires):

Natural Person:

  • Notes:
     
  1. Family Book or Birth Certification is accredited to carry out the inheritance transfers for only Jordanian adult heirs who are not physically present at the SDC.

  2. Inheritance Deed or Death Certificate is accredited to carry out the inheritance transfers for only Jordanian adult heirs. These documents shall include the national identification number.

  3. If it is not possible for Palestinians to provide SDC with the Palestinian Authority Passport, any of the following documents is accredited: Refugees travel document, or temporary residence card for the people of the Gaza Strip issued by the Ministry of Interior/Civil Status and Passport Department in the Kingdom, or Identity card issued by the Palestinian Authority or the Civil Administration of Judea and Samaria Area.

  4. Identity cards for children of Jordanian women issued by the Ministry of Interior/Civil Status and Passport Department

Judicial Entity:

 

 

Validation Period:

The identification documents for the Judicial entity shall be newly issued as of the date of executing a process at the SDC.

Authentication:

In the case of identification directly through the SDC , the documents for the Jordanian judicial person must be certified by the authority that issued them . As for the non-Jordanian judicial person , the supporting documents must be certified by the following authorities :

  1. The official relevant authorities in the country in which the identification documents were issued, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of that country.
  2. The Representative of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the country in which the document was issued, if there is no representative of the Kingdom in that country, the document shall be authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in any country that maintains diplomatic representation with the Kingdom, and by the Embassy of the Kingdom in that country.
  3. The Jordanian Foreign and Expatriates Ministry.
  4. The Jordanian Ministry of Justice.

Notes:

  1. The SDC maintains a copy of the original identification document for the judicial entity that is identified by the broker or custodian. This copy has to be stamped by the broker or custodian to acknowledge that he bears responsibility for the validity and correctness of the documents.
  2. If the identification documents for the non-Jordanian judicial entity were issued from outside Jordan and in a language other than Arabic, it shall be certified by the parties in article Articles of Authentication above and then translated by a certified translator and shall be notarized from a notary in Jordan.
