Name Change
Identifying the member's name on the SDC's database after completing the procedures for amending it at the Companies Control Department.
Persons benefiting from the service
SDC’s members: Public shareholding companies, and financial brokers and custodians.
Conditions of obtaining the service
None.
Required Documents
- A written letter addressed to the SDC by a company to request change its name.
- A letter from ASE to change the name if the company is traded in the market or if the member is operating at the SDC.
- Registration certificate at the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply with a new name.
- The memorandum and articles of associations of the new name.
- Full and abbreviated name in both Arabic and English.
Procedures
- Verifying the company’s letter to ensure the completeness of the attached documents
- If the shares of the public shareholding company are not traded on the stock exchange, or if the broker or custodian is not operating in the stock exchange, the company's name will be changed directly on the SDC's database.
- If the shares of the public shareholding company are traded at the stock exchange, or if the broker or custodian is operating in the stock exchange, the name change of the company will be conducted on the SDC's database, after receiving a memo from the stock exchange to that effect.
