The SDC represented by Head of the Administrative and Financial Department, Mr. Bashar Alnsour, and Head of Internal Audit Department, Mr. Abdelsalam Elayyan, participated in the 22nd meeting of FEAS, which was held in Sharm El Sheikh - Egypt on 16-17/11/2016. The meeting was attended by (22) members.

The General Assembly discussed many key issues in the meeting. A brief report on the works that have been conducted in 2016 and are planned for 2017 was presented; the 2015 audit report and the 2017 budget proposal were approved. The GA also approved the withdrawal of Bulgaria Stock Exchange, NDC Azerbaijan, MCDR, and Zagreb Stock Exchange from membership, and approved the membership position change into observer of Belgrade Stock Exchange, Macedonia Stock Exchange, CSD Macedonia and Banja Luka Stock Exchange.

Based on the previous candidacy announcements, elections were conducted for Chair, Vice Chair, WC Chair, eight Executive Board members and Secretary General. The election results were as follows: Egyptian Exchange (Chair), Muscat Securities Markets (Vice Chair), Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (WC Chair), Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, Borsa Istanbul, Nadaq OMX Armenia, Sarajevo Stock Exchange, Palestine Stock Exchange, Tehran Stock Exchange, CSD Iran, and EBRD (Executive Board members), and Borsa Istanbul (Secretary General).

At the end, it was determined that the next FEAS General Assembly meeting will be hosted by Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange in Abu Dhabi - UAE in 2017.
