The Securities Depository Center, through the Information Technology and Operations Departments, participated via audio and video communication in the training workshop held by the Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD) on Tuesday, 14/11/2023.

The workshop included main topics that were presented and discussed; the most prominent was the interaction with members’ news, the latest projects that were implemented, and the latest technologies. In addition to the information technology architectures and structures of the global depository centers and the technical infrastructure of the applied software were also discussed during the workshop, moreover, a comparison between the systems was discussed.

In addition, business continuity management at depository centers was discussed, and the participants presented their experiences and the mechanisms they apply in business continuity plans and disaster response within the best international practices, the most important of which is the ISO 9001 standard for business continuity, and the business continuity management systems (BCMS - Business Continuity Management System).

The mechanisms for accessing local capital markets and the functions of managing tax matters for depository centers were also discussed.

This participation reflects the Depository Center’s commitment to enhancing the capabilities of its employees and participating in international events that promote innovation, sustainability, and sharing global expertise applied in this field.
