SDC participates in FEAS Meetings and ConFEAS 2026 Conference

The Securities Depository Center (SDC), represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Sarah Tarawneh, participated in the meetings of the Federation of Euro-Asian Capital Market (FEAS) and the ConFEAS 2026 Conference, held in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, from 12 to 14 October 2026.

ConFEAS 2026 serves as a platform bringing together representatives and specialists from stock exchanges, central securities depositories, regulatory authorities, banks, and investment firms to discuss key trends, challenges, opportunities, and innovations shaping capital markets, while fostering dialogue and the exchange of expertise among participating institutions. The conference sessions addressed several key topics, including developments in the Omani capital market and regional cooperation; opportunities, challenges, and investor interests in emerging markets; as well as technological developments and trends in capital markets and investor relations.

Mrs. Tarawneh also participated in the meetings of the FEAS Board of Directors, of which the SDC is a member, as well as the Federation’s General Assembly meetings. Discussions covered the latest developments in the Federation’s activities, the 2026 financial statements and the audited financial statements for 2025, future plans and the budget 2027, in addition to a number of matters of mutual interest.

During the conference, Mrs. Tarawneh delivered a presentation on the SDC and its role in Jordan’s capital market infrastructure. The presentation outlined the SDC’s establishment, organizational structure, and key functions, including the registration, deposit, safekeeping, and transfer of ownership of securities; the clearing and settlement of transactions; as well as its risk management framework, Settlement Guarantee Fund, electronic systems, and business continuity arrangements.

The presentation also highlighted key developments and achievements in Jordan’s capital market and at the SDC. These included the Launch of Connectivity between the Amman Stock Exchange and the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, the enhancement of financial settlement for traded corporate bonds, continued digital transformation and enhancement of services provided to investors, and the development of data and statistical services. It also addressed efforts to strengthening technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business continuity.

Furthermore, the presentation highlighted several of the SDC’s institutional achievements, including its ranking third in the National Integrity Index, its growing regional and international presence, and an overview of its key future plans and development projects.

It is worth noting that the Federation of Euro-Asian Capital Market (FEAS), established in 1995, works to promote cooperation and the exchange of expertise among member capital market institutions, support market development, enhance efficiency and transparency, and encourage cross-border investment and cooperation.
