Securities Depository Center Elected to the Board of Directors of the Federation of Euro-Asian Capital Markets (FEAS) for “Depository Centers” Category

The Securities Depository Center (SDC), represented by the Director of the Registration Department, Mr. Najd Al-Najdawi, participated in the meeting of the general assembly of the Federation of Euro-Asian Capital Markets which was held in Armenia - Yerevan, on 29/05/2025. During which elections were held to select members of the Federation’s Board of Directors, numbering (11) seats, including two seats allocated to members of the Federation from the depository centers, where the SDC was elected as a member of the FEAS Board of Directors alongside the Iran Depository Center, by acclamation.

Accordingly, the SDC elected to the Board of Directors, alongside the Armenian Stock Exchange, the Muscat Stock Exchange, the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange, the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange, the Bucharest Stock Exchange, the Amman Stock Exchange, the Palestine Stock Exchange, the Athens Stock Exchange, the Tehran Stock Exchange, and the Iranian Securities Depository Center.

The representation of the SDC on the Federation's Board of Directors represents an important step towards strengthening the SDC's position and participation in the field of capital markets at the regional and international levels. It also emphasizes the importance and role of depository centers in general, and the SDC- Jordan in particular, as an effective institution in developing the infrastructure of financial markets, providing depository, registration, clearing, and settlement services, and enhancing investor confidence and risk management.

This membership marks a significant addition to the SDC’s efforts in fostering cooperation and knowledge exchange with global financial institutions. It also enables the SDC to stay informed of the latest practices and developments in the capital market industry worldwide.

It is worth noting that the Federation of Euro-Asian Capital Markets (FEAS) was established in 1995 as a regional organization comprising stock exchanges, depositories, international institutions, and financial services associations. FEAS aims to promote cooperation and support the growth and development of capital markets across Europe and Asia.
