The SDC received a delegation from the Muscat Clearing and Depository Company (MCD) consisting of Mr. Haitham Al Salmi, Deputy General Manager, and Mrs. Nedhal Al Humeid, Mortgage and Lien Manager on 27-29/09/2016, in a visit aiming at strengthening the cooperation and communication between SDC and MCD, and exchanging their experiences.

The SDC briefed the delegation about the SDC procedures in the field of securities registration, deposit, safekeeping, transfer of ownership and clearing and settlement, different corporate actions including mergers or increase or decrease of capital, and all SDC electronic systems.

Deputy General Manager of the MCD, Mr. Haitham Al Salmi, presented a comprehensive overview about the operations, services, and technology used in the MCD.

At the end, the meeting included discussions to share experiences and knowledge between the SDC and MCD which contribute in developing their services and operations.
