Securities Depository Center launched the "e- IPO"

The Securities Depository Center (SDC) announced the launch of the "e- IPO" the electronic Initial Public Offering system within the e-services presented on its website www.sdc.com.jo in the meeting which was held on Sunday 1/7/2007 at the Capital Market Building, King Abdullah II Hall, attended by Issuance Managers from different companies.

This new service is an internet application service provided by the SDC to allow investors to subscribe in Public Offerings through filling subscription forms electronically and printing them.

Mr. Samir Jaradat, the CEO of The SDC said that this service aims to reduce time and effort required for subscription, as well as reducing mistakes and human errors through attaining a higher level of data accuracy. In addition, this service provides all necessary information regarding the public offerings like summary of the prospectus and issuance attachments which will be available through this service including the prospectus memorandum and the articles of association of the concerned issuer.

“The SDC launched the primary stage of this service which will be developed to a secondary stage that will provide e-payment according to the concerned banks willingness“. Mr. Jaradat mentioned.
He went to say that this service is released as a way to strengthen the bonds of cooperation with active national institutions to enhance the services provided by these institutions.

“This service will not charge subscribers any fees as the SDC believes in serving the public interest and in the importance of communication and coordination between all national institutions in supporting the development in the Kingdom”. Mr. Jaradat added.

It is worth mentioning that the SDC also provided the Online Account Viewing through its website to enable investors to follow up their investments in Jordanian securities and view their deposited securities’ balances, account statements and transactions executed thereto, all at the level of the investor’s account maintained by the broker.
