The SDC, represented by the CEO, Ms. Sara Tarawneh, and the Director of the Registration Department, Mr. Najd Al-Najdawi, participated in the General Assembly meeting of the Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA), which was held in Warsaw, Poland, during the period from 02-04/12/2024, in the presence of representatives of the member states of the (ANNA).

The meetings included discussing the topics on the agenda, which focused on discussing vital topics aimed at developing and updating international standards in financial markets and the challenges associated with them, in addition to reviewing the annual accounts for 2023 and approving the budget for 2024 and 2025. The discussions also touched on the latest developments in ISO standards related to reference data and financial services. And ISIN/FISN/CFI coding standards, in addition to the initiative to link the (ISIN – International Securities Identification Number) standard with the (LEI - Legal Entity Identifier) standard.

Several strategic decisions were taken during these sessions, including reviewing the strategic plan of the organization and accepting the membership of Derivatives Service Bureau (DSB) Ltd and Etrading Software Ltd (ETS), which provide software and technology solutions to financial institutions, both managed by the (ANNA). Ten new countries were also accepted as members, accordingly the number of members in the (ANNA) is 113.

On the other hand, the SDC’s CEO, Ms. Sara Tarawneh, participated in her capacity as a member of the Board of Directors of the Association (ANNA), in managing the breakout session that addressed the topic of the CFI standard related to the classification of financial instruments and linking the coding mechanism and the quality of the inputs of this standard with both the ISIN and CFI standards, and discussing the most prominent challenges facing coding agencies and what can be provided by the Association to support and enhance the quality, accuracy and completeness of data to serve the financial markets.

It is worth mentioning that the SDC is a prominent member of the Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA) and the approved national numbering agent for all securities issues of various types in the Kingdom since 2004.
