Securities Depository Center Introduces the "Online Account Viewing" to Investors

In a press release issued by the Securities Depository Center (SDC), the SDC announced the introduction of  the "Online Account Viewing" service  to investors in Jordanian securities that enables them to  enquire and view their securities’ balances.

This new service will enable investors through the SDC website to follow up their investments in Jordanian securities and view their deposited securities’ balances, account statements and transactions executed thereto, all at the level of the investor’s account maintained by the broker.

The investor will also view all the data and information entered by his broker such as the permanent address and his address with the broker; in addition to the ownership details including the current balance, free balance and the ownership restrictions (such as pledge, lien) , the details of the trades executed by the broker whether buy or sell, the number of shares, average price, amount, date and time of execution as well as other transactions.

The investor wishing to benefit from this service will be provided with the username and password related to his account maintained by his broker through an electronic request submitted by the broker via the SDC SCORPIO system.

This new service will be free of charge and in case the investor wishes to view such information, he should contact his broker and request his username and password where he will be able to view and follow up his portfolio of securities and the transactions that occur to it. This service will be initiated on  Sunday August 6, 2006.

It worth noting that the SDC has updated its website www.sdc.com.jo to provide further information regarding the capital market in general and the SDC in specific in addition to introducing new services through the website. It also contains statistical data of interest to investors and researchers with the purpose of enhancing transparency and providing investors with information.
